Patient information
Everything you need before you visit.
What happens at your first appointment, what to bring, how we look after nervous patients and children, and what to do if your plans change.
Your first visit
A first appointment, step by step.
Allow a little longer than a routine check-up. There’s no pressure to decide anything on the day.
01
Arrive and settle in
Come a few minutes early. We’ll welcome you and check your contact details.
02
Medical history
Your dentist goes through your medical history and medicines with you in person, privately.
03
Examination
A check of teeth, gums and soft tissues, with X-rays only if clinically useful.
04
Your options
We explain what we found and give you a written plan with costs if treatment would help.
What to bring
- A list of any medicines you take, including inhalers and supplements
- Details of your dental insurance, if you have it
- Any recent X-rays or records from a previous dentist, if available
- Your glasses, if you need them to read forms
Your health information
We ask about your medical history at the practice, in person, because it can affect which treatments are safe and suitable. Please don’t send medical details through the website form.
On a live site, this section explains how the practice keeps patient records secure and links to its privacy notice.
Nervous patients
Feeling anxious? You’re not alone.
Many people feel nervous about the dentist, often because of a past experience. Tell us when you book and we’ll plan around it.
Time to talk first
A conversation before any examination, so you know what to expect.
You stay in control
Agree a signal to pause at any point, and we’ll stop.
Small steps
If it helps, we can split treatment into shorter visits.
Children and families
Children are welcome from their first teeth. Short, positive visits help them feel at home, and parents can stay with them throughout.
Changing an appointment
Please let us know as early as you can if you need to cancel or move a visit. A live site would explain the cancellation policy here.
Access and comfort
Tell us about any mobility, hearing, sight or sensory needs when you book. A live site would describe parking and step-free access here.
